7:30 – 8:30am
Breakfast Club
Optional early arrival. A calm, sit-down breakfast — toast, cereal, fresh fruit and milk — followed by quiet activities like puzzles, drawing or books.
A balanced rhythm of play, learning, food, fresh air and rest — designed around how 2 to 4-year-olds actually thrive.
7:30 – 8:30am
Optional early arrival. A calm, sit-down breakfast — toast, cereal, fresh fruit and milk — followed by quiet activities like puzzles, drawing or books.
8:30 – 9:00am
Children arrive and are greeted at the door by their key worker. Free-choice play in the rooms — small worlds, construction, mark-making, role play.
9:00 – 9:30am
A short, gentle group time: hello song, calendar, weather, and an introduction to the day's focus activity.
9:30 – 10:30am
Adult-led, child-led and small-group work across the seven areas of learning — communication, physical, PSED, literacy, maths, understanding the world, and expressive arts.
10:30 – 10:45am
Healthy snack (fresh fruit, oat cakes, cheese) followed by a story chosen by the children.
10:45 – 11:30am
Whatever the weather. Bikes, balance boards, climbing, mud kitchen, gardening, water play.
11:30 – 12:30pm
A freshly prepared hot lunch served family-style at small tables. Children help to lay the table and pour their own water.
12:30 – 1:30pm
Our youngest children sleep on cosy mats. Older children have quiet activities — books, puzzles, drawing — in a calm space.
1:30 – 2:30pm
A second adult-led activity block — often more creative or physical: music & movement, sensory play, painting, baking.
2:30 – 3:00pm
Back outside for fresh air, gross-motor games and exploration.
3:00 – 3:30pm
Afternoon snack, a story, and a gentle wind-down. Children leaving at 3:30pm are collected by their grown-ups at the door.
3:30 – 6:00pm
Children staying late move into a relaxed mixed-age club. Tea is served around 4:30pm. Activities are calmer — drawing, dolls, cars, books — to help children unwind.
Young children flourish in predictable, gentle routines. Our daily rhythm balances time outdoors with time indoors, adult-led learning with child-led play, and active periods with quiet ones — so that children leave us tired in the best way: full of stories, discoveries and sleep.
Routines are kept consistent across the week, but never rigid — if a butterfly lands on the windowsill, we stop and look.
Tour days are designed so you can see real children, real activities and real food — not a sanitised showcase. Book a visit and come and meet us.
