For Parents

We offer two free settling-in sessions before your child officially starts. The first is parent-and-child together, the second is shorter without you. Most children settle within a fortnight; we go at your child's pace, not the calendar's.

A freshly prepared hot lunch every day, cooked on-site by our kitchen team. Children also receive a morning snack and an afternoon snack. We cater for allergies, intolerances and dietary preferences — please let us know during admissions.

Nappies, wipes and basic toiletries are included in your fees — you don't need to send them in. Please pack a spare set of clothes, plus weather-appropriate outdoor gear (we go outside whatever the weather).

Yes. We work in close partnership with families on potty training — when your child shows signs of readiness, we follow the same approach you're using at home so it's consistent and stress-free.

Absolutely. We offer flexible weekly patterns — minimum two sessions per week. Many of our funded children attend just three mornings a week.

1 staff member to every 4 children — well above the statutory minimum. This means every child receives generous individual attention from our qualified, DBS-checked team.

We use a daily online learning journal so you can see photos, observations and key moments from your child's day — usually before you've even got home from work. We also do termly progress meetings and an annual EYFS report.

If your child is too unwell to be at nursery, we'll call you to come and collect. We follow current public-health guidance on exclusion periods. Day-to-day, we don't send children home for minor sniffles — we'll keep an eye and call only if needed.

Safeguarding is led by our Designated Safeguarding Lead and underpinned by the policies of our parent school, Vita et Pax Preparatory. All staff are DBS-checked, trained in safeguarding, and have annual refreshers. See our Safeguarding policy for full detail.

Many do — and many move on to other Reception classes across North London. Little Vita is a standalone nursery: there is no obligation, expectation, or shortcut. We'll prepare your child equally well for any school they go to.
